FY 2016 Appropriation

The Legislature transferred the Jail Reimbursement Program funding to the Finance Mandated line item beginning FY 2010. See 2009 General Session House Bill 220, "State Payment and Reimbursement to County Correctional Facilities." This action transfers the responsibility to disburse county jail reimbursement funds from Corrections to the Division of Finance.

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $0 from all sources for Jail Reimbursement. This is a 100 percent reduction from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $0 from the General/Education Funds, a reduction of 100 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.

Intent Language

HB0003: Item 44

The Legislature intends that, if revenues deposited in the Land Exchange Distribution Account exceed appropriations from the account, the Division of Finance distribute the excess deposits according to the formula provided in UCA 53C-3-203(4).
