FY 2016 Appropriation

H.B. 115, Peer Assistance and Review Pilot Program, from the 2012 General Session is a program that was created to conduct regular evaluations of novice teachers and underperforming veteran teachers. The program also makes recommendations for continued employment or dismissal of novice teachers and underperforming veteran teachers.

Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $400,000 from all sources for Peer Assistance. This is a 33.3 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $400,000 from the General/Education Funds, an increase of 33.3 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
