Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $214,100 from all sources for Public Information. This is a 1.1 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $200 in new approprations from the General/Education Funds.

The Public Information budget supports advertising and outreach for the UEN program, its services, and the programming offered on its networks. It is mainly supported by a federal grant (Corporation for Public Broadcasting) with some state funding.
