Instructional Support represents the costs of training and support on classroom integration of technology.
During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $3,438,300 from all sources for Instructional Support. This is a 1 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $1,155,900 from the General/Education Funds, an increase of 2.3 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
Instructional Support "coordinates, administers, and advances quality content which supports teaching and learning." It offers training on integrating technology into classroom instruction and using UEN applications such as Canvas and Pioneer Library, provides direct curriculum support and coordination through hosting the Utah Core Curriculum database and resources, and promotes increased utilization of online resources.
