Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $1,575,100 from all sources for Recreation Services. This is a 3.9 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $4,800 from the General/Education Funds, an increase of 166.7 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.

The Legislature intends that the $50,000 appropriation increase for This Is the Place Heritage Park be transferred to the park only after the park has received matching funds of at least $50,000 from Salt Lake City and at least $50,000 from Salt Lake County.


The Federal Funds come from the U.S. Coast Guard for boating safety equipment and programs.
