The Capital Development - Other State Government line item was created to clarify projects intended for general state government rather than higher education. Higher education accounts for approximately 60 percent of state owned buildings.
During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $65,321,500 from all sources for Capital Development - Other State Government. This is a 34.1 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $65,321,500 from the General/Education Funds, an increase of 34.1 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
