The Capital Development - Higher Education line item was created to clarify projects intended for higher education rather than general state government. Higher education accounts for approximately 60 percent of state owned buildings.
During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $108,337,000 from all sources for Capital Development - Higher Education. This is a 1.7 percent reduction from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $108,337,000 from the General/Education Funds, a reduction of 1.7 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
