FY 2016 Appropriation

Like the Oil and Gas program, the Mining program manages and administers approximately 4.4 million acres of solid mineral rights held in trust lands. Staff is marketing the mineral assets, enforcing existing contractual rights, leasing, and attracting industry to trust lands for exploration and development.

Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $713,200 from all sources for Mining. This is a 2.6 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources.
