The Law and Legislation program represents the costs associated with providing legal advice to the State Board. In this capacity, staff writes and edits proposed rules, responds to GRAMA requests, interfaces with outside attorneys, deals with professional misconduct, and provides ethics training.
During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $261,000 from all sources for Law and Legislation. This is a 3.8 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $289,500 from the General/Education Funds, an increase of 2.9 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
