Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $6,050,900 from all sources for Region 1. This is a 2.2 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources.

In addition to statewide compensation and internal service fund cost increases, the following appropriation adjustments were made during the 2015 General Session:

Adjusting one-time from last year to ongoing.

Region 1 is responsible for highway needs in Box Elder, Cache, Morgan, Rich, Weber, and Davis Counties in the northern part of Utah. The region headquarters is located in Ogden. They are assigned responsibility for designing, constructing and maintaining State highways in those counties.

HB0003: Item 34

Under the terms of Utah Annotated Code 63J-1-603(3)(a) , the Legislature intends that appropriations provided for Region Management in Item 5, Chapter 4, Laws of Utah 2014, not lapse at the close of Fiscal Year 2015. The use of any non-lapsing funds is limited to Region Management ($200,000).
