Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $1,363,700 from all sources for Human Resources Management. This is a 4.8 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources.

The Human Resource section administers the agency's personnel office. In addition to processing records and transactions according to law, they are involved in the placement and training of staff throughout the department. Part of the program's budget includes funding to recruit and train civil engineering interns in the department.

HB0003: Item 31

Under the terms of Utah Annotated Code 63J-1-603(3)(a), the Legislature intends that appropriations provided for Support Services in Item 1, Chapter 4, Laws of Utah 2014, shall not lapse at the close of Fiscal Year 2015. The use of any non-lapsing funds is limited to the following: Computer Software Development Projects ($300,000) and Building Improvements ($500,000).
