Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $987,500 from all sources for Building and Grounds. This is a 0 percent change from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources.

The Building and Grounds Program is responsible for the operation, repairs, and maintenance of the Calvin L. Rampton Complex (UDOT-Public Safety Complex). Included in this budget are funds for grounds upkeep, utilities, custodial contracts, the internal telephone system, refuse pickup contract, and security contracts.

HB0003: Item 31

Under the terms of Utah Annotated Code 63J-1-603(3)(a), the Legislature intends that appropriations provided for Support Services in Item 1, Chapter 4, Laws of Utah 2014, shall not lapse at the close of Fiscal Year 2015. The use of any non-lapsing funds is limited to the following: Computer Software Development Projects ($300,000) and Building Improvements ($500,000).
