FY 2016 Appropriation

The Right-of-Way Division is responsible for acquiring real property rights for planned state and federal highway construction, and oversight of local governments utilizing state and/or federal funds to acquire property for local roads.

Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $2,273,600 from all sources for Right-of-Way. This is a 2.8 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources.

Intent Language

HB0003: Item 32

Under terms of Utah Code Annotated Section 63J-1-603(3)(a), the Legislature intends that appropriations provided for Engineering Services in Item 2 of Chapter 4 Laws of Utah 2014 not lapse at the close of Fiscal Year 2015. The use of any non-lapsing funds is limited to the following: Engineering Services Special Projects ($300,000).
